Merci de ne pas me demander d’y répondre. J’ai ma propre idée…
Dès son arrivée, j’ai ressenti son envie de bien faire, d’être un bon modèle, démonstratif et provocateur, bougeant visage et corps masqués avec une grande habileté…
Cela a commencé vite, très vite. Je l’ai invitée à dessiner les mouvements d’un danseur automate. Elle tournoyait de manière nonchalante et gracieuse, gardant à peine son équilibre, sur ses talons hauts. Elle a tout fait pour me satisfaire alors que je m’arrêtais pour lui montrer quelques photos. Finalement, très vite, j’ai eu les bonnes images, heureux de me dire qu’elle enlèverait les masques et qu’enfin, je la découvrirais… Un assistant l’a rapidement extraite du set.
Aujourd’hui encore, je n’en sais plus.
Il ne me reste que ce souvenir photographique dans l’esprit d’une fête foraine des années ’30.

As soon as she arrived, I felt her desire to do well, to be a good model, demonstrative and provocative, moving with masked face and body with great skill…
It started quickly, very quickly. I invited her to sketch the movements of an automaton dancer. She twirled in a nonchalant and graceful manner, barely keeping her balance, on her high heels. She did everything to satisfy me as I stopped to show her some pictures.
Finally, very quickly, I got the good pictures, happy to tell myself that she would put down the masks and that finally, I would discover her…
An assistant promptly withdrew her from the set.
Even today, I don’t know any more.
All I have left is this photographic souvenir in the spirit of a funfair from the 1930s..
